Massacre in Coatzacoalcos Mexico leaves 26 dead and ten injured
Mexico woke up to the tragic news of a Massacre in Coatzacoalcos that left 26 dead and 11 seriously injured. The incident occurred in a popular bar in the city called “Caballo Blanco”. The attack was carried out fiercely, by locking up its victims in the place while they were set on fire.
Witnesses say the attackers blocked all the doors to prevent people from escaping, while throwing Molotov cocktails. Although the state of Veracruz die violently on average 7 people a day, an event of this magnitude had not been recorded.
The state governor and the president of Mexico promised to thoroughly investigate the reasons for this crime, while some believe it is due to a drug war in the city.
Although the government ensures that the crime will not go unpunished, the residents are terrified that the attackers had time to shoot and burn down the establishment, without the authorities being able to rescue them.
Other versions assure that the owner of the bar "Caballo Blanco" was kidnapped moments before the crime began, although this news has not been confirmed.
The main indignation comes from the fact that alias "La Loca" is the alleged perpetrator of this attack, but the authorities had captured him a few weeks ago and released him 48 hours later. Now, he is allegedly responsible for this attack.
The violence in Veracruz began after the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel declared war on Los Zetas, to remain in control of the entire area. This confrontation is the main responsible for that a year about 1600 people are killed, while the government only watches without being able to do anything.
The government mobilized military force to the area, so it is expected that there will be a greater security control.
