The image was captured last year in Botswana and was obtained by means of a drone in which you can see how an elephant was dismembered, its trunk and tusks are located apart from its body.

The indiscriminate hunting of these magnificent animals is a problem that is experienced daily even in the midst of the struggles to prevent cases like this from continuing to occur, even because of people who blindly believe in myths about the properties and uses of the tusks of elephants.

The way these animals are killed is considered inhumane, and the photograph wants to represent how isolated the elephant was and how isolated the vast majority of us find ourselves on the subject.

This year, on September 10, the ceremony will be held in Moscow to announce the winners of the contest, which is carried out with the purpose of supporting young talent and attracting public attention to appreciate the new photojournalism works.
