Ricardo Gareca avoided talking about his possible arrival at the Argentine National Team
Peru will face Brazil on Sunday, July 7 at the Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. The appointment will start at 3 in the afternoon, Peruvian time.
In this sense, Ricardo "el tigre" Gareca gave a press conference in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday 6 prior to the match of the Peruvian National Team and its counterpart in Brazil, in which the Champion of the Copa América 2019 will be defined.
One of the questions that Gareca answered to the press was about the possibility he had to be coach of the Argentine National Team before renewing with the bicolor in August 2018.
"I'm only going to talk about the game. That's past. It's part of the past. I'm only going to talk about the final," said Ricardo Gareca, who refused to speak more on the subject.
"El tigre" Gareca is a highly valued coach in Argentina, his homeland, to assume the technical direction of the albiceleste squad. On DirecTV, they pointed out that the AFA (Argentine Football Association) will meet with him after the end of the Copa América 2019.
Ricargo Gareca has a contract with the Peruvian National Team until 2021, and has reiterated on more than one occasion that he intends to fulfill his current contract.
