Russia announces serious consequences if Sweden and Finland join NATO
Finland and Sweden have been put as a probable objective of Russia if they finalize their entry into the Alliance.
The spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zajarova, has warned Sweden and Finland that their "possible integration into NATO" could generate serious repercussions, both political and military.
This statement was made after both Nordic countries showed their support for the Ukrainian government.
In this sense, the Russian spokeswoman pointed out that these countries should not base their security on harm to the security of other nations.
Likewise, Zajarova guaranteed that there will be retaliation against Finland and Sweden if the entry of these countries into NATO is finalized.
Among the measures carried out by Finland, in support of the Ukrainian nation, is the blocking of the signal of the Russian channel RT in support of Ukraine.
These measures were cataloged by Minister Zajarova as “reciprocal political and military measures”, and the consequences that she had subsequently announced if these countries that have been pacifist and neutral by history join the military bloc.
Likewise, Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of NATO, hours before issued a formal invitation to Sweden and Finland (which are not yet part of the Alliance) to participate in an emergency virtual NATO meeting on February 25 to discuss the conflict in Ukraine.
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin had announced at a congress meeting that her country is now ready to formally apply for NATO membership, in view of the threat to its security from the Kremlin.
Surrender as a condition
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday called on the Ukrainian military to carry out a coup against Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky, assuring that if they took power, it would be easier to reach agreements.
Hours before that announcement, Zeleneski had asked Vladimir Putin to agree to dialogue. The Kremlin's response came a short time later and first called for the surrender of Ukraine to start the dialogue process.
Weapons for civilians
The Ukrainian Armed Forces called on all citizens of the capital to resist the Russian attack with "all means".
In this context, the Ministry of the Interior of Ukraine began with the distribution of more than 25,000 weapons and more than 10 million ammunition magazines among the inhabitants throughout the country.
Request for disenfranchisement for Russia at the UN
The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelesnki, on Saturday, February 26, requested the deprivation of the Russian vote in the UN Security Council, as a countermeasure to the attack perpetrated by Russia on Ukrainian territory.

Nuclear deterrence forces
Vladimir Putin announced that the authorities of the countries belonging to NATO constantly make unfriendly statements against the Kremlin, for that reason, he issued the order to the Minister of Defense to put the containment forces of the Kremlin in a "special regime of service" army.
On the other hand, Putin rejected the "unfriendly" steps taken by the West against Russia in economic matters.
The Russian offensive in Ukraine has been called "demilitarization and denazification" that as a consequence of this operation, the international community has imposed large economic sanctions against Russia.
In this context, Jens Stoltenberg labeled the Kremlin irresponsible for announcing the maximum alert to the nuclear deterrent forces of the Russian army.

Russian casualties
Last Sunday, the Russian Ministry of Defense recognized for the first time in the entire conflict that they have had casualties, in addition to prisoners and wounded, in the recently begun invasion.
Igor Konashenkov, Kremlin Defense Minister, declared that there are Russian "comrades" killed, however, he did not give details of the number of casualties in the Russian ranks.
However, the military high command assured that the casualties in the Russian army are "considerably less" than the number of Ukrainians killed in the war.
