The United States announces to Maduro that he has a short term to leave power
The United States warns the president of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro that his term to leave power is getting shorter and shorter, and that if he does not leave it before this time is over, he will assume international justice.
Apparently they will offer him an exit or date for the Venezuelan president to take advantage of it, but in case he ignores it; the precautionary measures against him will be severe. This is stated by the head of the White House in Latin America, Mauricio Claver-Carone.
As is known in January of this year, Maduro again assumed the presidential position, after voting that took place where he obtained 67.84% of votes with only 46% of voters ; this mandate would be from 2019-2025.
On the other hand, Claver-Carone says that maximum pressure should be applied to the president to leave power, there have already been dialogues between the Venezuelan government and the opposition, with the Norwegian company, this to achieve a political agreement between them.
Juan Guaidó “president in charge” sworn himself in and this has caused the US government to seek measures to remove Maduro from power, since he did not recognize Guaidó as president in re-election.
