Ukraine receives cyberattack and Russia continues to mobilize troops
The event occurs days after the meeting without agreements between Western states and Russia.
Currently, the tension is rising, and they fear that Russia will continue with the attack against the country that it invaded in 2014. Through a cyberattack that warned the Ukrainian population to "expect the worst", Russia mobilized 100,000 soldiers to the border under the excuse of a simulacrum.
Although it has repeatedly denied its intentions to invade Ukraine, Russia assures that its military intentions are different.
At the meeting with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), he demanded that they not allow Ukraine's inclusion in the alliance. They ensure that the movements are part of an inspection.
Images broadcast by local media show dozens of armored vehicles and loaded military equipment in the eastern district.
The tension does not decrease
Rob Lee, a military analyst at the US Foreign Policy Research Institute, said they probably want to divert attention to the actual movement of military units to Ukraine.
These events confirm what Jens Stoltenberg predicted, that the tension on the border between Russia and Ukraine would not diminish. Russia has pressured NATO with military movements so that its demands for "security guarantees" are met.
The cyberattack mainly affected the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Security and Defense Council, among other organizations.
In one of the messages that his could visualize in the attack, the phrase stood out:
"All information about you has been made public, Ukrainian, be afraid and expect the worst. This is for your past, present and future".
From the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they reported that it was too early to attribute the attack to Russia, but assured that Moscow is the main suspect because they have been the protagonists of similar attacks years ago.
Without adding any further comment, Russia only denied that it was behind the cyberattack against Ukraine.
International responses
Josep Borrell, the main diplomatic leader of the European Union, assured that they would have a meeting with the political and security committee, to see how to respond and be of help to Ukraine.
Borrell also assured that they are prepared to receive any type of attack from Ukraine and that they will mobilize all the necessary resources to deal with the cyberattack.
Despite the fact that Russia has always denied a possible invasion, the United States affirms that the threat from Russia is real.
While Russia tries to persuade the West to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO, Moscow says that although the dialogue continues, it is heading for a dead end.
