The singer Bad Bunny is the most listened to artist on the Spotify platform, after his success ' Safaera ', a song from the album ' YHLQMDLG '.

This song got him into trouble, as he was sued for plagiarism by Missy Elliott, a trap singer. This was because 'Safaera' uses arrangements of Elliott's 2000s hit ' Get ur freak on '.

The American decided to carry out a legal process against Bad Bunny. This ended up affecting the guests Ñengo and Flow, guests of the song, as well as Jowell and Randy.

Jowell was in charge of revealing, through an interview, the economic impact they suffered after this lawsuit. He assured that nobody would have gotten involved, if the song had been a normal song like the one they usually put out.

The interpreter said that they kept everything. In this way, he and Randy received 1% of the profits, including Bad Bunny, who also received 1%. Prior to the legal process, each one was entitled to 20% of the profits.

Likewise, he clarified that these big production errors make them lose. In addition, this caused other artists to make demands on the authorship of the other songs on the album.

DJ Playero's representative, AOM Música, insists that three of the DJ's productions were used without his consent by Bad Bunny. Therefore, they decided to generate claims around 150,000 dollars for each single.

In February 2019, the song ' Safaera ' was released on Bad Bunny's second studio album, called ' YHLQMDLG '.

This theme exceeded 9,000 million views on Spotify, in 2021. Meanwhile, the video clip has more than 330 million views on YouTube.

At the 2021 Latin Billboards, Bad Bunny received 10 awards from his 22 nominations, and he celebrated them by singing the famous single, a cappella. Thus, it generated more interaction on other digital platforms, creating the viral challenge ' Safaera challenge ' on Tik Tok.
