BTS and Twice are the most awarded at MGMA 2019: see the complete list of winners
The M2 X Genie Music Awards (MGMA) or well known as Genie Music Awards 2019, were held yesterday at night, awarding the best K-pop artists of the year. The most awarded artists of said award ceremony were BTS and Twice, managing to stand out from the other nominees.
BTS received 6 awards in various categories, which would be: Male Performing Artist, Best Daesang Artist, World Popularity, Daesang M2 Lead Video, Genie Popularity Award, and Best Male Group.
On the other hand, the famous South Korean girl group Twice took home 2 awards: Best Female Artist and Best Selling Artist. All this meant that this girlband had the most DaesangS (most important awards of any event) won in the history of kpop.
In this way, fans of BTS (Army) and Twice (Eleven) would be celebrating in a big way after learning that both groups had been crowned as the biggest winners of the 2019 Genie Music Awards. This would demonstrate the impact that both K-pop groups are having globally.
