Disney's animated film "Encanto" was pre-nominated for the Oscars
Disney Studios' newest installment, "Enchantment", is listed at the Oscars as "Considered a Choice" in the class of animated films. In addition, "The Addams family 2", "Sing 2" and "Raya and the last dragon", among others, are competing in a similar class.
The film, which premiered in Colombian theaters on November 24, was selected as one of the most amazing animated films to compete in this classification in the 94th edition of the Oscar Awards, which will be one of the most prestigious awards of the year 2022.
When was the animated movie released?
The groundbreaking film "Encanto" opened in Los Angeles on November 3 and is currently sweeping the box office in the United States and Canada.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) today declared its waiting list in the animation, narrative and global film rankings.
The animation waiting list includes 26 films, including two Disney creations "Charm" and "The last Dragon". Both films were classified as great shoots of 2021, since they met an ideal format that includes: fantastic scenes, soundtrack, photography and authentic interpretations.
How many films will be nominated for the Oscars?
Of the 26 shortlisted films, five will make up the Academy's true pick to compete for the honor. To decide them, the people of the branch of animation short films and feature films will carry out a vote of which the result will be known on February 8, 2022.
As indicated by the Academy, a part of the shortlisted films have not yet been released, which is a requirement to be eligible for the award.

On the other hand, the Academy characterizes a dynamic film as: "a film in which the development and expositions of the characters are carried out using an edge-to-edge procedure, and which can generally be classified into one of two general fields of action: history or unique".
In addition, it must last more than 40 minutes, most of its characters must be energized and "the movement must appear in no less than 75% of the film", according to the aid given for the 92nd edition of the 2019 awards.
The film project, which tells the story of the Madrigal family in the Cocora Valley, had the support of Lin-Manuel Miranda to compose the melodies and Carlos Vives to interpret them.
Likewise, the film has the voices of María Cecilia Botero, Maluma, Carolina Gaitán, Angie Cepeda, Olga Lucía Vives and Alejandro Riaño for its name in Spanish.
The prestigious Oscars are scheduled for March 27, 2022, one of the most important days for the world of cinema.
The awards will return to its face-to-face modality again for this new edition, since the preventive measures of the coronavirus are already being fulfilled.
