With his effort and dedication, he has managed to be the first Latino to do a show at Lolapalooza, perform at Coachella, his songs are widely listened to and the support Balvin receives is so much that his songs have been number one in the world for more than a decade the music charts.

Even with all his success and fame he is clear about where he comes from, and how he started in this music business, and he has not risen as much as many out there. The artist recently shared details that no one knew about his life in an interview with the Puerto Rican Chente Ydrach, a very cooked YouTuber.

In the interview, I talk about a topic that nobody knew about, and that happened on a trip to Oklahoma for an exchange. There the singer was kidnapped for a month and a half because he could not leave the house where he was.

The singer tells how when he arrived at this house, his school director became fond of him as his son saw him, and said constantly "this is my son, he will not leave me," said the singer.

During that time of stay I did not receive calls from my family and my girlfriend and I began to feel a deep sadness ; but to his surprise she had cut off communication so that he would not speak to them.

Upon realizing this, J Balvin confronts her and complains about it, he looks for a way to escape, he begins to look for her passport, but does not find it immediately, he knows that his director has it, but she refuses to give it to him; We lived in a forest and the road in Atoka was quite remote, a month and a half I was kidnapped there.

He managed to escape thanks to a Colombian friend who picked him up near the place and New York arrived, he was enchanted by the city. He started doing jobs as a dog walker painting walls and always dreaming of being a great artist. I dream that today is a reality for him, thanks to his perseverance and the visualization he had of whether he managed to make it a reality, making him the most recognized urban music singer in the world.
