About the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show
The stage they recreated at the stadium was one of the most impressive things to see at the event, featuring a recreation of the hometown of hip-hop pioneers 'Compton'. Recreating the most iconic streets of the city and its most recognized stores, the Compton territorial map was also depicted on the stage floor.
Snoop Dogg, Eminen, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar teamed up with Dr. Dree to recreate one of his most famous songs ' Still DRE ' to position himself at the climax of the best performances in the entire history of the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show.
On this occasion, the organizers of the event surprised their entire audience with a great special guest, nothing more and nothing less than the legend '50 cent' who performed songs with Dr. Dree and Snoop Dogg and caused much to talk about his appearance physical.
"Rap as pride of the Super Bowl": the proposal of Snoop and Dr. Dree
In this new edition of the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, they once again implemented the conventional format, unlike previous years in which the event was not in person but virtual. The event had spectators and filled their stands again to experience the excitement of the NFL.
It should be noted that the Super Bowl Halftime since its entire history has had occasional rap presentations at some moments of the show. However, this time Dr. Dree and Snoop Dogg decided to make rap the pride of the Super Bowl, being is the first time that rap completely dominates the show.
From the beginning to the end of the Halftime Show, only the 5 artists performed their most iconic rap songs and this was acclaimed by all the fans of the American football event.
Rap fights racial discrimination in the NFL
It is important to mention that rap is a genre welcomed and created by the black population of the United States, this is something very relevant and significant, since the NFL has recently been subjected to accusations of racism and discrimination in very strong cases such as those of players Brian Flores and Colin Kaepernick.
That has been the main reason for choosing rap in this prestigious presentation, to represent social injustices and raise our voices in the fight against racial discrimination. And what better way to do it than with the 2 great legends Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dree representatives of the 'West Side'.
