Star signings for Madrid and City
The closing of two signings that have revolutionized the market was confirmed. Erling Haaland's soap opera came to an end when the figures with which the Norwegian footballer was hired by Manchester City came to light.
The club led by Pep Guardiola has paid the clause to Borussia Dortmund for the '9', which was 60 million euros. From the Etihad it was insisted that the operation was for that amount, which they describe as 'cheap', although it is already known that many teams do not bring to light, at first, the real figures of this type of operation.
The 21-year-old player arrives at the English team, where his father also played from 2000 to 2003 and they assure that he is excited about the fact that he is trained by a coach of the quality and fame of Pep, in addition to the salary and the squad of the team, which will surely compete for all national and international tournaments.
It should be noted that Manchester City was recently eliminated from the UEFA Champions League by Real Madrid, which the English press describes as a "resounding failure" for the project led by Guardiola, who last year also lost the final of the maximum European club tournament against Chelsea de Tuchel.
The incorporation of the 'crack' from Dortmund will guide City to not only win the Premier League, which is one day away from achieving it, but also to be able to compete with the best European clubs in the highly disputed Champions League.
Regarding his salary, it is estimated that Erling receives around 20 million euros per year (465,000 euros per week) and, it should be noted, that he signed for five seasons. There are two commissions to be paid: One of €15 million to the player's father, Alf-Inge; and another of the same amount for the agency that represented the player.
It must be taken into account that Guardiola is not used to playing with a footballer of these characteristics, that is, an area forward, a '9'. However, from the club they assure that the coach is enthusiastic about the 'great' signing and it will be enough to wait to see how the young Norwegian fits into the Spanish's plans.
Waiting for Mbappé, Real Madrid signs Rüdiger
With all the media situation surrounding the possible signing of the Frenchman Kylian Mbappé for Real Madrid and with the visit of the Paris Saint-Germain player to a restaurant in the Spanish capital this week, the merengue club closed the signing of the German Antonio Rüdiger, although it will become official after the Champions League final.
The current Chelsea player ends his contract on June 30 and has signed until 2026 after passing the medical examination. The central defender of the 'Blues' had already pleased the Madrid directors, who saw his great performance in the second leg of the quarterfinals at the Santiago Bernabéu where those led by Tuchel almost eliminated the whites.
Ancelotti had also insisted on this signing, which gives him options in the defense line. The German can partner in the center of the defense with Militao and Alaba can move to the left back, a position he also played for at Bayern Munich. Nacho, for his part, has renewed for one more season and is the replacement for the central defenders.
Similarly, Carlo has Jesús Vallejo who already played in the extra time of the second leg against City and as a starter against Atlético de Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano, however, the arrival of Rüdiger may facilitate his departure from the merengue team.
This purchase is considered "strategic and intelligent", since, like last season with Alaba, the German ends his contract with Chelsea and arrives free and, in addition, the transaction took place normally due to the good relations between both clubs.
The Frenchman Kylian Mbappe also ends his contract with PSG on June 30 and it is expected that in the coming weeks the scorer will be able to define where he will play from next season.
