Tottenham traced Leicester over the end
Tottenham completed an agonizing comeback in the last minute against Leicester. This Wednesday the chosen stage was the King Power stadium where this match was held for matchday 17 of the Premier League.
The 'Spurs' dominated the first minutes, although it was very even in the rest of regulation time. The visitors had to clear through Harry Kane, one of which hit the post defending Kasper Schmeiche when he headed a ball from a corner.
For the locals, the opportunity would come at 24' when Daka dropped a rebound after a speed attack, and he would finish off a cross, thus converting the partial 1-0.
The Spurs would tie through Harry Kane. The play started from a pass that sought the speed of the English attacker, he cut off a defender and defined a cross to the left at 38', a tie on the scoreboard.
The story continued in the second half when Leicester, at 76', took the lead again thanks to a great goal that Maddison defined after a nice collective play.
The party seemed doomed, but Steven Bergwijn would give the surprise. First, when equalizing at 90+5' and on the next play, the visiting team intercepted the ball that quickly passed it at speed so that Bergwijn, mocking Schmeichel, defined the far post and thus scored the final 2-3.
Tottenham is fifth in the table with 36 points and Leicester is in tenth place with 25 points.
For its part, in the other clash of the day, Brentford lost to Manchester United with a final score of 1-3. The visitors scored through Elanga in the 55th minute, Greenwood in the 62nd minute and Rashford in the 77th minute. Brentford discounted at 85' with a goal from Toney.
