10 technologies that will change the world in a few years
The world of technology is constantly advancing, every day we see new developments that are fascinating and useful. However, we also see how there are others that at first glance are of no use. There are technologies that have changed the world, such as the advent of smart phones, the internet, artificial intelligence, 5G, and more.
At the moment, there are technologies that are already in development and that promise to change the way we see the world. We will be able to see some of these technologies very soon, while others may take a few more years.
Next, we will talk about the best technologies that can change the world.
1. 3D printing
3D printing is a technology that is not new, however, its full potential has not been taken out either. In fact, some people have never had contact with 3D printing.
One of the sectors that can change completely thanks to this technology is the construction sector. It is likely that in a few years we will be able to see houses and even buildings made with a 3D printer.
We still do not know for sure what the limits of this technology will be, however, 3D printing is one of those technologies that still has a long way to go.
2. Drones
Drones are another of those technologies that have been with us for some years, however, their full potential has not yet been used. Among the main uses that drones are given today are photography, video, cinema, military use and leisure. However, there are still many things that can be done with the help of drones.
For example, companies like Amazon are testing the use of drones to deliver packages. This is something revolutionary that would make the delivery service much faster and more accurate.
However, there are still many things that we could do with drones. Over the years we will see new advances in this type of technology.
3. Virtual Reality
Virtual reality is, without a doubt, the dream of many people and this is a technology that promises and which can be put to many uses. For example, in education, students could attend virtual classes. However, this is a technology that is beginning to be exploited mainly in the gaming sector.
Virtual reality is still in its infancy, so we expect to have many more advances in a few years. This is one of those technologies that you could have no limits.
4. Blockchain
The blockchain is a wonderful technology that can be put to a huge number of uses. However, today it continues to be wasted, so it is to be expected that it can be given a lot of new uses.
Although today it is a technology that is being given more and more uses, it is likely that in the future we will see greater growth and relevance of blockchains. Who knows that the advancement of the blockchain can bring us in about 5 years. Personally, this is one of the technologies in which I most hope to see development.
5. Smarter robots
The development of robotics does not stop and the amount of advances that are still expected is still surprising. It is very likely that in a few years we will see robots that are much more intelligent. They may have the ability to walk and perform tasks that they cannot today.
This is probably one of the technologies in which humanity has high hopes. Intelligent robots can make people's lives much easier. It is not clear how many years it will take for us to see these advances, but without a doubt, we hope they will not be too many.
6. Smart cities
For some years now, developers have had the idea of smart cities in mind. At the moment, this is just a concept on paper, but in a few years we could see how it starts to come true.
The potentialities of these smart cities are many, mainly they will improve the quality of life of people and the environment. These will allow to greatly increase energy savings.
Once they are put into practice in a model city, it is likely that they will begin to be massively replicated in many cities around the world.
7. Cars without drivers
We have already begun to see advances in this technology, there are several companies that are putting these technologies into practice. This is one of those advances that seek to save money for companies and that will end up making people's lives much easier.
At the moment, this technology still has a long way to go, however, we are likely to see further advancements in about two to three years. And we'll probably start seeing driverless vehicles in around 5 years. But this is just speculation, we will have to wait to see how fast it can move forward.
8. Faster transports
Transportation is one of the things that needs great strides to become much more efficient. And that is why there are several companies that are working on great advances related to this sector. For example, Hyperloop is one of those ambitious projects that will significantly improve the transport sector.
With this technology, it will be possible to develop transport that is hyperfast and can travel underground or underwater. Without a doubt, it is something extremely necessary to improve the urban transport service.
9. Big data
Big data is a technology that we already have today, however, it is something that can have many more uses than it is today. As computing and computers advance, big data will do so and the greater the amount of information they can process.
And this can be very beneficial for many sectors, especially for the health sector. For example, it can allow us to understand for sure the DNA of food. Scientists are already working on it, but even today's technology is not enough.
10. Google Glass
In their day, these glasses were a revolutionary advancement that everyone wanted to have. However, it did not have the result that was expected, but Google is still not giving up and looking to make advances that are interesting.
This augmented reality technology can be extremely beneficial. In any case, we will have to wait for the new versions of these glasses to be able to know their full potential. Google is investing a large amount of money in this project, so much progress is expected in the coming years.
