Honor 60 SE: Features of the new mid-range
One of the main alternatives to the big mobile device brands is Honor. In recent years, they have launched terminals that have been characterized by having elements of the best quality, at an affordable price.
After the launch of the Honor 60 and its Pro version, they now bring us a third member of the line. But, with the main attraction of its design, which resembles a certain iPhone, manufactured by a certain Apple.
Honor 60 SE: Most important features
Each of its elements make the 60 SE a mid-range smartphone, being a main option among them.
Although the most striking is the design based on the iPhone, Honor is not far behind in terms of performance, autonomy and quality. Let's know more about mobile.
Ambitious display
It seems that now the mid-range is characterized by including a large screen, in addition to the adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz. This is the specific case of the new Honor 60 SE, as it has such qualities within its manufacture.
Specifically, it has a size of 6.67 inches, with a panel that is the same as the one of its older brother, the Honor 60. That is, they retain the ability of the screen to adapt to the content being displayed to offer greater or less refresh rate.
It also has OLED technology so that the resolution offered is comparable to other models on the market, specifically FullHD +.
It should be noted that it will also have an integrated fingerprint reader under the screen, so that the unlocking of the mobile is more dynamic. It is a feature that all smartphones have been adopting as a method of innovation.
Mid-range processor
The main difference, and that is, let's say, abysmal, between this version and its brothers, is the processor.
In essence, the SE model is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 900, which, although it has optimal performance, is far from the high end. But, at least it has 5G technology, adapting to new trends.
More than enough memory
To accompany the operation of the processor, we mainly have an 8 GB RAM memory. In the case of a mid-range, the Honor SE is an option to consider for just this detail.
As far as storage memory is concerned, we have a base version of 128 GB. While there is also the availability of a model with 256 GB, which is more in line with the needs of users in terms of storage.
Fast charging battery
In turn, it is followed by a battery that, although it does not have a high power than other models, is capable of achieving good autonomy.
Specifically, for the Honor 60 SE, the characteristics of the battery is that it has a power of 4,300 mAh. However, the main section of it, is its fast charge that reaches 66 W.
For its price, and taking into account the fast charge, the acquisition of the Honor 60 SE is much more feasible.
Camera with controversial design
Beyond the quality data sheet that the mobile has, the eyes will always be on the design of the camera module. It may well be a marketing strategy or not, but the truth is that the similarities are almost exact.
As we mentioned before, the design of the Honor 60 SE is based on the iPhone 13 Pro, from a certain Apple.
It is clearly due to the arrangement of the triple camera sensor, located in the upper left corner, on the front of the mobile. Additionally, each one is positioned with a diagonal orientation, forming a triangle, just like Apple did with its iPhones.
Unfortunately, the quality of the images may not be the same as Apple products. In this case, the main camera has 64 MP, in addition to two other sensors whose quality was not specified.
But, it can be seen that they will be like their older brother, that is, with an 8 MP ultra wide angle. Also, with a depth lens that reaches 2 MP. Also, more details about the front camera for selfies remain to be expected.
Acceptable Software
The smartphone will have the Magic UI 5.0 operating system, which is expected to receive its update to version 6.0. It should be added that it is totally based on Android 11 to include its different customization layers.
However, since it is a mobile that is launched mainly in China, it will not have the different Google applications.
Even so, in the absence of official information about its launch for the rest of the world, it is most likely that Google services will be included. As was the case with the Honor 50 that recently arrived in Mexico, like other models of the company.
Honor 60 SE: Price and available versions
The Honor 60 series have been characterized by having an affordable price, taking into account the mid-range considerations they have.
In the case of the SE, it will be available in the Chinese markets, officially, on February 17, 2022.
In its base version, which would be 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of memory, it would have an approximate price of 2,199 yuan. In exchange, they would represent about 300 euros or 345 dollars.
If you want a little more storage memory, specifically 256 GB, you would have to pay 2,499 yuan. In euros, it would be the equivalent of 340 euros or 390 in dollars.
Finally, they will be available in three colors, which specifically would be a black version, another in white and a last one in green.
