What is Wilson's disease?
This disease is a rare hereditary disorder that prevents the body from getting rid of extra copper. Since the body needs a little copper to stay healthy, but in excess it can be toxic for the organism.
The disease is present at birth, but begins to manifest at the age of 5 to 35 years of age. This disorder starts affecting the liver, the central nervous system or both at the same time.
The clearest symptom of this disease is the appearance of a brown ring around the cornea of the eye.
