Apple Fitness + How does it work?
Launched in December 2020, Apple Fitness + was designed to enhance the user's fitness experience, thereby promoting overall health.
It was designed mainly for the Apple Watch, so that it complements its functions in reading the state of the body. In essence, the main objective is for the user to be able to get in shape in the easiest way possible.
Apple Fitness: What is it?
Basically, it is a service for sports purposes so that the user is able to improve their physical and mental state through exercise.
As a means, it uses the Apple Watch so that, through the data acquired by its use, it can offer personalized exercise plans.
One of the advantages is that through this it is possible to exercise in any environment. This is thanks to the amount of information it handles that allows you to customize your service.
It also works in conjunction with other devices on the same Apple network, such as iPhones, iPads, or Apple TVs.
In other words, it's like having a personal trainer on the wrist of your arm. In this way, it will give you all the necessary indications so that you enter a state of full health.
It has a wide variety of activities
One of the main benefits is the large number of activities it offers, so that they can attract a greater number of users.
In other words, they seek to adapt to the tastes of their wide range of users, including activities such as cycling, rowing, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, among others.
Integration with Apple Music
On the other hand, we also have the advantage that, if we are subscribed to the Apple Music service, it would be integrated into Fitness +.
They will even adapt the playlists to the type of training or physical activity that you are about to do, since who does not like to train with music?
Constant updates
Also, it is a service that continues to receive support from Apple, including updates from time to time to improve the user experience. Thus, in this way, new activities are added as well as training methods available to the person.
Share Play compatibility
One of the newest things on iOS is the SharePlay features which can indeed be integrated with Fitness plus. Specifically, it has the ability to share with up to 32 users, be it our family or friends through FaceTime.
So if they use Apple devices, they can enjoy a shared workout. It is a very attractive function that allows us to keep in touch with our closest contacts without violating biosecurity regulations.
"Time to Walk" function
It is a mode designed for the user to keep himself entertained during his exercise routine. In this way, it represents an alternative in case we do not want to accompany our physical activities with music.
"Time to Walk" has the ability to play audios that are stories of inspirational characters for anyone. The narrations last approximately between 25 and 40 minutes, so it is recommended for walking routines.
Here's what you need to use Apple Fitness Plus
Although it is a net Apple service, it is designed to work with devices that are still supported by the company. That is, they still receive operating system updates.
But specifically this application was designed to be used on Apple Watch, but not just any.
At least one Apple Watch Series 3 is required, so later models are also supported. Also, for the application on the watch to be compatible with the Smartphone, it must be at least an iPhone 6s, or later versions.
On the other hand, if you are more of an iPad user, it is important that the latter is at least the fifth generation, or its subsequent models.
In the case of smart TVs, have at least one Apple TV 4K, which can be the new or the old version. Additionally, Apple TV HD supports Fitness+ features. Specifically, these are the devices that support the use of the application:
Apple Watch Series 3.
Apple Watch Series 4.

Finally, the issue of equipment and tools for exercise such as bandages, weights, leagues, mats, among others, will depend on the user. And it is that, unlike other sports training services, Apple does not include accessories with your subscription (for now).
What's new from Apple Fitness + for this 2022
Almost two years after its launch, this function specialized in Apple's sports seeks to update itself again to offer a better service. That is why, below, we will review the most important thing that it brings us for this new year 2022.
"Time to run"
Unlike “Time to Walk”, this new function will have music playlists that will be according to the intensity of the training sessions.
Also, each of the users will be accompanied by official Apple trainers, such as Emily Fayette, Jamie-Ray Hartshorne, Sam Sanchez and Scott Carvin. The new addition would be Cory Wharton-Malcolm, who will bring out the best in you in physical activity sessions that last up to 60 minutes.
Likewise, they seek to adapt to any type of user, so this new function also serves people who use a wheelchair. That is, it is capable of measuring your physical activity sessions while you are sitting down.
“Time to walk”
The main function of Fitness + is renewed, this time with new characters in a third season that seeks to inspire users to achieve their goals.
Among the most important narrations, as well as how from the select musical group, the comedian Chelsea Handler and the boxer Sugar Ray stand out. They will even have the participation of the founder of Black Lives Matter, Ayo Timeti.
New collections
To add new content to the app, Apple will add new collections that differ in intensity levels. Therefore, they are sessions designed for all users of the service.
In essence, it will have yoga or stretching sessions so that you can adapt your body to the most intense sessions, or also to improve your sleep.
It then extends to the possibility of increasing your endurance, taking you up to 5 kilometers of jogging.
Artists Spotlight
Within the same platform we find playlists of singers who collaborate with Apple to offer a better service.
Previously, we already had the participation of Lady Gaga or Nicki Minaj, but now they will be accompanied by Shakira, The Beatles, Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Wiliams.
Every Monday for four weeks, the workout routines will feature the songs of each of these artists under different activities.
