The Teatro Mayor de Colombia will open in 2022 with 2 great shows
For the month of January, those in charge of the "Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo" decided to start their programming in the best way with 2 incredible presentations that will represent the opening of what will be a year full of opera, classical music, dance concerts and alternative music.
On January 27, 2022, the Teatro Mayor de Colombia will mark the first show of the year with the participation of one of the exponents of Mexican lyrical music "Ramón Vargas", who is the most recognized tenor of conservationist Latin music.
For his wonderful presentation, he is going to perform one of the best recitals together with the famous pianist "Mzia Bakhtouridze", Ramón Vargas affirms that this will be the presentation that will mark the return and recovery of the most iconic and emblematic pieces of opera.
However, he will also perform interpretations of his classic themes from Latin America and the Mediterranean.

It is important to mention that the last time the famous artist performed at the Teatro Mayor de Colombia was in 2002 for the presentation of the recital "El trobador".
However, with this new presentation it will mark its comeback in one of the most prestigious theaters in Latin America.
About the artist Ramón Vargas
The Mexican Ramón Vargas began his career in the mid-1980s thanks to his triumph in the "Enrico Caruso" contest, which is destined for tenors in Milan, Italy.
Then, he decided to go to Austria to dedicate himself to perfecting his music and tone of voice, later, he began to appear in theaters and festivals around the world performing great themes of classical music.

On Wednesday, January 19, those in charge of the Teatro Mayor reported the official date of the Ramón Vargas concert and the availability of tickets for a cost of 40,000 Colombian pesos.
The time of this wonderful presentation will be at 8 pm on January 27, 2022.

The appearance of Vargas will not be the only one that will mark the beginning of the new programming of the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo, since the singer Urpi Barco will celebrate the 10th anniversary of her first solo album "Sueños".
The famous Quechua singer is going to make an exceptional tour for her concert where she is going to offer the best songs from her albums “Retrato”, “Sueños” and “Manglares”. Jazz, cumbia, vogue, bambuco and currulao genres will predominate in the concert.
Currently, Urpi Barco is one of the most recognized singers and composers in the culture of new Colombian music and Latin Jazz.

The long-awaited presentation of the famous Latin singer will be scheduled for 8 pm on January 28, 2022, one day after the main presentation of the Teatro Mayor. Tickets will cost 30,000 Colombian pesos.
