The Ocasio-Cortez dress that caused a stir at the Met Gala
The activist and member of the United States House of Representatives since 2019 Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been a complete bomb of criticism and praise, thanks to her arrival at the Met Gala on Monday night, in which she used a jacket dress made of wool in ivory color and which was personalized by Brother Vellies with an organza ruffle and which has a red print with the message “Tax the Rich”.
Her arrival was filmed by the paparazzi, in which Ocasio-Cortez can be seen addressing the vehicle that took her to the gala, which according to the different web portals, was a special, armored vehicle with all possible security elements. It also had a masked assistant, who held the tail of her dress while smilingly posing for her fans and posing for photos.
Independently, the attendance and clothing that Representative Ocasio-Cortez had was just enough to make those who criticize her speak, either for her political positions or controversial statements. But did it really accomplish its mission?
Although Ocasio-Cortez's intentions were perhaps a bit different from the reactions she got, the dress has sparked a lot of debate about the true intentions of the dress. However, Alexandria has been harshly criticized by those who consider that this message can be given to the public and the entire nation in a much more influential and strong way, since as mentioned above, there are many people and social groups which They consider that the activist has not been making the most of the potential and the tools that she has in her possession.
