Infinite Galaxy: New things are coming to the galaxy
With the Empire on the brink of collapse, anarchy and chaos now reign in the stars. Despite all this apocalypse, humanity still has a hope, the fleets of the "Resistance" seek to keep at bay and control the space pirates to bring back peace.
That's the story of Infinite Galaxy, where you take on the role of commander of one of those Resistance fleets. Your task will be to build a space port, to be able to participate in intergalactic battles. All this with the aim of picking up the pieces of a shattered civilization.
Although the premise may seem all too familiar, the gameplay and strategic possibilities offered by Infinite Galaxy are anything but.
This is still a really interesting game and one worth trying, even when it's been on the market for over a year.
This deep sci-fi strategy game from Camel Game has continued to expand its overarching narrative and the opportunities for research, recruitment, base expansion, and ship assembly continue to grow with each update.
In addition to its strategic and narrative possibilities, the game's universe has also continued to expand, with Infinite Galaxy 's innovative double-layered map revealing more regions to explore and quests to embark on.
Right now, Commanders have the opportunity to explore this universe even further with the latest update to the Cosmic Ocean: Origins game, which brings the following new challenges to enjoy:
The hostile territories of the Cosmic Ocean
The new battle through nebulae game mode, “Cosmic Ocean: Origins”, will introduce new discoveries throughout the distant Andromeda galaxy, including unknown enemies that will force Commanders to power up their spaceports in order to survive.
As a basic rule, alliances will be able to enter the nebula battle map as long as all of them have been open for more than three months. On each map, there will be eight alliances in various nebulae, and each will be assigned a rank based on the total active battle power.
The Cosmic Ocean Map
Everyone who participates in the Cosmic Ocean map will receive a handy ship building speed boost. The event will last for seven days, and other improvements include an increase in the capacity of the repair center, as well as a reduction in the resources needed to repair ships.
Since war can be harsh and the Cosmic Ocean can be unforgiving, any warship that is lost will be lost permanently.
However, after the event is over, a portion of the lost warships will be returned; the share of warships damaged/in need of repair in the battle will, in turn, depend on the location of the battle, as well as the enemy.
About buildings, territories and outposts
Players can look forward to new event buildings, which will be indicated by blue and yellow dots, as well as checkpoints marked by green dots. There will also be a new “Central City” marked with a central red dot.
Occupied Control Points will allow alliances to move to certain areas, while occupying buildings will reward players with buffs and occupancy upgrades.
If a player builds an Alliance Outpost, they can expand their territory, as they can only navigate places within Alliance territory. Those spaceports in the Alliance zone cannot be attacked.
How to sign up and join the fun
As the event is only open to Alliances, players can only participate in the event as an Alliance. Alliance members must also be R4 or higher to join ; in addition, the Alliance must reach a certain level of total active Battle Power before joining.
Commanders can look forward to tons of valuable in-game gifts and lavish rewards, including the newest crew member, the Ghost (this valuable asset can power up the attack of cruisers and other warships). Other rewards include fun spaceport skins and avatar frames.
If you want to participate in the event, you can download Infinite Galaxy on the iOS App Store and on the Google Play Store for Android devices. It is a completely free game, but it has purchases within the application itself.
