Salmon Pate

About the patés

According to Larousse Cocina, pâté is a meat paste that began to be made in the Middle Ages. In fact, they were cooked in a mold called pate, hence its name.

In general, pates are spreadable foods that accompany other vegetables and carbohydrates such as bread, crêpes, cookies, tortillas, toasts, among other things.

Its application is very versatile, so I do not take more time and I leave you the details so that you surprise everyone with these dishes loaded with proteins. Take the details and put hands to work that you create these great appetizers of Christmas patés.

Salmon Pate

This pate will be somewhat different, since the piece of salmon will go in the company of cream cheese and dill. After cooking the salmon, sautéing it with a little garlic and oil for a few minutes on each side, take it to a mixer or chop everything.

Then, add the cream cheese and mix everything, then spread on slices of bread and decorate with a small sprig of dill.

Salmon Canapés

If you are someone who likes salmon, this second version will be ideal to vary your menu. For this you will need, smoked salmon, dill, crackers and cheese to spread.

Chop the dill very finely and leave it on hand. Then, we chop the salmon into pieces and place it in the mixer or chopper to process it together with the cheese.

Now, we mix with the dill. Next, take the mixture and place a small spoonful on each cookie.

Mussels and tuna pate

1. You can buy canned tuna to save a little time, mussels and mayonnaise or yogurt. After cooking the mussels, process them together with the tuna and mayonnaise, add a little garlic, pepper and salt.

To present them this time we will use puff pastry to make some great cones, for this you need to chop the dough and give the desired shape.

Then, bake for a few minutes to brown the dough as expected. When the dough has acquired a golden color, remove it and let it rest to cool.

When it is very cold you can fill them with a mixture that we have prepared of mussels and tuna. When presenting you can place an appetizer fork although this way, alone, they can be easily eaten and will have a different flavor.

Pork liver pate

For this recipe, in addition to the pork liver, you need oregano, salt, mayonnaise or the sauce of your choice and onion. As a personal appreciation I like to brown the onion with a little oil and garlic and then cook the livers.

When everything is well cooked, mash everything, even the caramelized onions. I like to add an extra portion so that the sweet is mixed with the salty of the meat.

This food has a great flavor, so make sure that the base is quite consistent, whether it is a piece of bread or canapé dough.

Finally, you can decorate either with dill or any edible green branch of your choice along with a piece of tomato to give the Christmas touch.

Tuna paté with dressings

Tuna paté with dressings

Tuna paté with dressings is one of my favorite fillings, as it reminds me of the taste of a tuna salad. To do this, you will need a can of tuna, a little hot pepper, together with tomato, onion, salt and coriander. All this you must process in the picatodo.

Add mayonnaise, yogurt, or your favorite sauce even a little more spicy if you feel like it needs it. And that's it! You can serve to accompany by cookies, tortillas or Arabic bread that are very good.

The bases of these patés can vary according to how you want to present them. You can make baskets with cupcake molds with puff pastry, with canapés, or salty tortillas.

As a personal appreciation, the puff pastry gives a very delicious flavor, whether you buy it or prepare it on your own. Go ahead and celebrate these holidays with a delicious pate.
