Ingredients

With these amounts you can achieve a drink for 4 people.

  • 100 milliliters of cream

  • 4 egg yolks

  • Cinnamon stick

  • 240 milliliters of liquid cream

  • 260 milliliters of milk

  • 110 grams of sugar

  • 1 vanilla bean

  • 80 milliliters of bourbon

  • Nutmeg

Preparation of the cooked punch with a touch of liquor

  1. In a pot, pour the milk together with the vanilla beans.

  2. Similarly, add the cinnamon, cream and nutmeg to taste.

  3. Then, take the pot to medium heat and wait for these ingredients to heat up but without reaching a boil.

  4. Don't forget to stir to avoid sticking. When it makes its first boil, we remove from the heat.

  5. Wait a bit for the mixture to settle and cover so that all the ingredients are combined. This process should take about 15 minutes or so.

  6. At the end of the time, strain the mixture and save.

  7. Now, separate the yolks from the whites, to beat the first with a little sugar.

  8. We pass the cream through the strainer and add to the milk. Then add to the beaten yolks, mixing very well.

  9. Then, we return the mixture to the pot and let it cook over low heat. Don't stop beating until the mixture begins to thicken.

  10. If you have a thermometer it would be to wait until it reads 82 degrees Celsius.

  11. At this point, we remove it from the heat, without covering it, let it cool, and it naturally reaches a point that can be drunk.

  12. When it is a little warm add the bourbon or liquor of your choice. It can be rum, brandy or whiskey. Make sure to mix everything really well. And it's ready.

Cold version of cooked punch

Now, we serve in glasses or glasses and cover with transparent paper. We carry the fridge for at least 6 hours.
