Couple sues fertility clinic after giving birth to twins of different race
An Asian couple have sued a Los Angeles fertility clinic after learning their two newborn sons had traits from another race. The couple managed to find the biological parents of the twins, and they have already been handed over to them.
All this happened when an Asian couple from New York decided to carry out their entire fertility and pregnancy process in a fertility clinic located in Los Angeles. It has the name of CHA Fertility Center and has already been sued by said couple.
This married couple had decided to carry out a fertilization process at the CHA Fertility Center, because they had had several unsuccessful attempts to get the woman pregnant. Therefore, thanks to the process of implantation of embryos in the uterus carried out by the Fertility Center, in September 2018, the couple manages to find out the wonderful news that they would have twins.
The couple, of Asian origin, had become aware of possible inconsistencies long before the birth of their babies. In this way, in the first ultrasound it was possible to show that both children were boys, when the fertilization clinic had indicated that the implanted embryos were female.
The couple has already carried out DNA tests on the babies, so which confirmed that they were not really their children. In this way, they have already managed to contact their real parents and have handed them over to them.
The CHA Fertility Center has already been sued by the couple, where the marriage has indicated that medical negligence was applied that has generated irreversible "emotional damage" to both individuals. If the fertility clinic loses that case, it will have to pay more than $100,000 in damages to the Asian couple.
