Attack at a Russian university leaves six dead
This Monday an attack was registered in one of the buildings of the Perm State University, where, according to the Ministry of Health, at least 28 wounded have been registered, who have needed medical assistance, while six young people died from gunshot wounds.
The aggressor was identified as a student of the Russian university, he was arrested minutes after the attack by an agent who was near the place. This young man was also carrying a knife at the time of his arrest. It should be noted that the student entered one of the Perm State buildings and began firing a firearm at his classmates.
According to studies carried out by the Russian police, it was found that the murderer had bought the weapon that he used in the attack last May and shortly before carrying out said attack at the faculty, he published a photo on his social networks showing the rifle, ammunition and helmets. This publication was accompanied by the following note: "I have been thinking this for a long time, several years now, I have finally realized that the time has come to do what I have dreamed of so much."
This post was deleted shortly after it was posted. Likewise, in the message, he indicated that the actions they would take had no relation to religions or politics, but that they were motivated by hatred. Which clearly indicated that the young assassin showed some mental problems.
Much panic at the time of the shooting

In one of the videos taken by the students who were in the place, you can see the subject dressed completely in black opening fire on his companions as he went to the entrance of the university. The author of this crime was also injured at the time of his arrest.
The patrol officer Konstantin Kalinin was the first to arrive at the scene of the attack and managed to disarm the attacker, who resisted his arrest, for which the officer had to give him first aid after being shot in the chest and the thigh, to later be transferred to the hospital connected to a respirator and in serious health.
At the time of the event, it is estimated that there were at least 3,000 students at the university. After the attack, classes were suspended and they declared mourning at the faculty on Tuesday. This university institution is located in the European part of this country, located very close to the Ural Mountains.
A previously unseen event in Russia
Russia stands out for being a country with very strict control over the use of weapons, so shootings in universities are very rare, but in recent years they have become more frequent. So much so that the last shooting recorded in this country had been on May 11, 2021, when a 19-year-old man opened fire at the Kazan school and murdered 9 students of the institution.
For the year 2019 other similar events were presented, where a student from the Faculty of Architecture and Public Services of the Amur region in Blagoveshchensk. In this event, two students died, including the aggressor, and five people were injured.
One of the most regrettable events occurred in 2018, where 20 people were killed after recording a shooting at the Crimean university located on the Ukrainian peninsula taken by Russia in 2014.
The attacker had a permit to carry a weapon
It was found that the murderer the Perm State University had a permit to carry a weapon, so that the weapon used in the attack was registered and legally possessed. After the Kazan school shooting, the Russian authorities raised the minimum age for carrying the weapon from 18 to 21. However, this new law has not yet entered into force.
