Man murdered his ex-girlfriend and his autistic son
The detainee was arrested with the help of a taser gun at a farm in England.
Daniel Boulton stabbed Bethany Vincent, his former partner of 26 years, and Darren Henson, their 9-year-old son, who had Autism Syndrome, because he thought the condition was contagious.
The police had a 24-hour manhunt to make his arrest. Boulton will now spend 40 years in prison in the UK.
The arrested man, after committing the murders, remained for some time in the garden of his house, while he calmly smoked a cigarette.
After this, he went to the police on a manhunt. The next day, he broke a house and proceeded to steal food and alcohol. Following this, he stabbed an off-duty police officer in the leg.
While attempting to commandeer two cars and inviting officers to shoot him, he was tasered with a stun gun. Which helped his arrest at a farm near Hallington, England.
Boulton, upon entering the police van, says that he knows he is an evil person, and asked for some water.
Murderer's trial
At Lincoln Crown, the court briefly heard an explanation for the nine stab wounds Vincent received. One of these was 20 cm and passed through the heart.
Little Darren received 14 stab wounds to his neck, shoulder, back, chest, face and leg.
During the trial, the detainee did not issue any statement. However, he admitted that it was involuntary manslaughter, and assured the psychiatrist in charge of the case that the autopilot did it for him.
Despite his statement, the jury rejected the idea that the man had lost control due to a personality disorder. Within two hours the guilty verdict was issued for the two murders carried out
The judge informed Boulton that he has been convicted of the brutal murders of his nine-year-old son, Darren Henson, and his former partner, Bethany Vincent. Therefore, the only sentence that can be handed down under the law is life imprisonment.
Likewise, the judge told him that he attacked the minor out of his hatred motivated by autism. Adding that, the attack was efficient, calm, and cruel, therefore, he knew what he was doing.
After the final decision, the accused did not show any kind of emotion.
