Michoacan Massacre

Men who are shot to death on the highways, journalists murdered in their own homes, mayors executed, and thousands of people displaced from their homes, this is the reality that the state of Michoacán is experiencing.

Last Sunday, a piece of news shocked the entire country, since the Michoacán massacre is considered one of the harshest in all time, and reveals only the absence of the State. Some 20 people died in a clandestine palenque in the Zinapécuro municipality.

The official sources of said state have revealed to different media that the multiple murder was committed by members of a faction of the historical owners of the territory, La Familia Michoacana, against the new bosses of the territory, the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

According to the data obtained officially, it was known that the shooting began at 10:30 p.m. local time. It was carried out when a group of civilians, wearing military suits, equipped with long weapons, entered the place and opened fire on the attendees; all this in the middle of a cockfight.

The information given by the local media alleges that among the dead is the owner of the premises, 59 years old, and his son.

The videos seen on social networks are overwhelming, as some users posted the moment the detonation of the weapons was heard.

This shows us once again that Michoacán is a city immersed in violence, where a dozen cartels clash daily for control of the region.

Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, governor of Michoacán, has reiterated on many occasions that the outcome of so much violence is due to the state of "neglect" of previous governments.
