The United States records 11 mass shootings over the weekend
The violence generated by firearms does not seem to let up in the United States, and only this weekend the country registered 11 mass shootings, in different areas of the country.
Although some laws regarding the use of firearms have been adjusted, and the bipartisan debate for gun control continues, this does not seem to stop, and this past Saturday night was a bloody night for the United States.
The epidemic of mass shootings has spread in recent weeks, where at least 16 people lost their lives from a firearm, and 61 people were injured.
One of the most serious events occurred in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), where a group of shooters attacked the crowd in a popular entertainment area in the center of the city. In this shooting, at least three people lost their lives.
The authorities have not revealed the names of the deceased, and according to witnesses, the situation was truly chaotic, luckily a police officer opened fire on one of the shooters, and managed to stop the attack.
On the other hand, the Tennessee community was the scene for another shooting in a nightclub that killed three people and injured 12.
These events seem to repeat themselves, and are encompassing all spheres. Well, those who commit such crimes have caused serious mental damage in the communities where the events take place, as happened in Uvalde, Texas, and in Buffalo, New York.
In the midst of all this outcome, President Joe Biden has made a dramatic speech to legislators, all regarding the prohibition of weapons designed for war.
Likewise, it has requested that the marketing of high-capacity cartridges be restricted, and that the legal age for carrying a weapon be extended, from 18 to 21 years, at the federal level.
While Congress agrees, mass shootings continue to rise, from attacks on schools, hospitals, or like this one that happened in a Philadelphia leisure area, are some of the events that have the population dismayed.
