US destroyer enters Chinese waters in order to provoke war
The event occurred in the waters of the Paracelsus Islands, where China and Vietnam are constantly in dispute over this area of the sea. The interference of the American destroyer was reported by the Chinese defense minister, who assured that the USS Wayne E. Meyer entered China's territorial waters without permission.
Of course, several Chinese air force planes and some ships immediately hunted down the destroyer, warning them that they should withdraw from the sector.
"We want to repeat once again that China has undeniable sovereign rights over the islands in the South China Sea and over the nearby waters; no foreign warship will be able to change this situation with any provocation," said the Minister of Defense of China.
However, this is not the first time this has happened. A few weeks ago the same ship USS Wayne E. Meyer entered the Spratly Islands, where they also raised the claim of the Asian government.
Now, the spokesman for the Seventh Fleet of the US Navy reported that this incursion is on purpose, to challenge the excessive claims that China makes on its maritime zone that it claims as its own.
Several countries have wanted to claim their right to the Paracelsus Islands, but only China has the power to contain these claims. Vietnam is the one that constantly claims the territory, while the United States supports Vietnam in these claims.
