  • A few sprigs of chopped parsley and 2 cloves of garlic.

  • Half a glass of white wine.

  • 50 grams of grated yellow cheese.

  • Thyme, oregano, rosemary, salt and ground black pepper.

  • 1 tablespoon of butter (shortening, margarine) for the mold.

  • Tomato sauce (tomato) to accompany.

Tips for preparing our recipe:

  • At the time of cooking our macaroni it is recommended to prepare them in a large pot and with enough water, since these must be made separately. Thanks to this, our macaroni will not stick and will have a better cooking and hydration.

  • Use quality macaroni and at the time of cooking do not leave them too long so that their finish is excellent.

  • Don't make the mistake of adding the pasta before boiling. This would cause a problem in your pasta, you must first boil the water, and when it is bubbling add salt and then add the macaroni.

  • Ideally, your macaroni cake should have a semi-creamy finish, as it will give it a very favorable appearance.

Preparation of our macaroni cake:

Macaroni Preparation:

  3. Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the garlic cloves and let them cook until golden brown.

  4. Add the chopped parsley, chirlas, wine, herbs and season with salt and pepper.

  5. Sauté the ingredients for a few minutes and remove from the heat.

Cake preparation:

  1. Add the chirlas to the macaroni.

  2. Next, beat the eggs in a large bowl, together with the cream.

  3. Add the cheese and beat well. Pour this mixture into the macaroni bowl.

  4. Finally, stir everything well and pour it into a rectangular mold, previously buttered.

  5. Place the mold in a bain-marie and cook for approximately 45 minutes. The mixture should be curdled.

  6. Remove from the mold and serve with the tomato sauce. If you like, reserve some chirlas for decoration.
