BTS, EXO, and BLACKPINK are nominated for 2019 MTV VMA Awards
Recently, the voting process for the various categories of the MTV VMA 2019 has begun. In this way, K-pop seems to be taking over these awards, after seeing artists like BTS and BLACKPINK among its list of nominees. Both artists would appear in the category of Best Group and Best K-pop.
BLACKPINK and BTS would be nominated for the Best Group category at the 2019 MTV VMAs. Therefore, after this announcement was made, the fans of both artists would be coming together to celebrate this achievement. Thus, the BLINKS and ARMY would already be voting in that category so that their favorite artist can win said award.
The announcement was made on the Twitter social networks of the Video Music Awards. In this way, it was accompanied by a video with the image of all the groups nominated for this category of the VMAs. As expected, all the attention was given with the announcement that BLACKPINK and BTS would be nominated for the Best Group category.
On the other hand, the Best K-pop category would also be premiering to commemorate the best of this genre for this year. The list of nominated artists are: EXO, Monsta X, BLACKPINK, BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and NCT 127.
Everything seems to indicate that K-pop will be a genre that will be on the rise every time. Thus, the announcement of a new category for this musical style has excited the community, who would be celebrating a new achievement for this musical genre from South Korea.
The 2019 MTV VMAs will be taking place on August 26. There are various rumors that BLACKPINK would be singing at said event, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
