Debut with MAMAMOO

Hwasa made her debut as part of MAMAMOO in June 2014, becoming the youngest member, who is called a maknae in her country.

Initially, the singer wanted to use the pseudonym Petzi, which is about a character from a Korean children's fairy tale, but decided to change it shortly before her debut.

About MAMAMOO

MAMAMOO (Hangul: 마마무) is a South Korean K-pop girl group owned by the Rainbow Bridge World (RBW) record label.

It is made up of four members: Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa.

They officially debuted on June 18, 2014 with the mini album "Hello" and the song "Mr. Ambiguous".

At the time of its debut, it was considered the best K-pop group of the year of its release. It is recognized for its retro, jazz and R&B concepts.

Hwasa has stated that the included songs are something like a diary containing the emotions she feels daily as a 24-year-old.

The song earned a “Triple Crown” by simultaneously topping all three major music charts in South Korea: Gaon Digital, Gaon Download, and Gaon Streaming.
