Being a freshman in high school, Pledis Entertainment contacted him. Since then, he spent 4 years as an apprentice for the company, where his love for music grew exponentially.

By 2012, he was on JTBC's High Society. On the MBC channel, he appeared on Hello Stranger, a program that lasted from 2014 to 2015.

For his part, along with Bumzu and Wozzi, Vernon composed the lyrics for the songs Second Life, HIT, Fearless, Lucky, and Left & Right.
