In recent days, the South Korean k-pop quintet TXT has managed to conquer several achievements.

One of them has been to become the third k-pop group in musical history to record an album for 11 weeks on the prestigious Billboard 200 rankings.

It's about " The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE," which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200 three months ago.

That work has become the first K-pop album of this year 2021 to remain for eleven weeks on the chart.

Recall that it is the famous list of the 200 most popular albums of Billboard, commonly known worldwide as " The Billboard 200 list."

It is a weekly ranking of the most popular albums sold through various media in the United States.

For the week ending September 11, “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” peaked at number 26, extending its own record as the longest-running k-pop album in this year's rankings.

Thus, TXT has become the third k-pop group in music history to record an album for eleven weeks on the Billboard 200.

That achievement had previously only been achieved by BTS and BLACKPINK.

About the album

We can affirm that " The Chaos Chapter: Freeze " marks the beginning of a new series in his discography.

On the strictly musical theme, the album incorporates contributions from several different genres: including pop, rock, punk, alternative rock, and disco.

It is a new stage for the band, having reached the previous successes of their trilogy The Dream Chapter (2019-2020).

In addition to his third EP Minisode 1: Blue Hour (2020) which served as a "bridge" between the two series and his first Japanese language album Still Dreaming (2021) which was released earlier this year.

The album contains eight songs, including the lead single, “0X1 = LOVESONG (I Know I Love You),” which featured the singer Seori.

Other achievements

The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” has also garnered other achievements on several other Billboard charts in the previous weeks.

The album managed to be No. 1 in the fourteenth week on the World Albums chart.

Likewise, it remained at number five in the thirteenth week on the top album sales chart.

In this way he extended his own record as the k-pop album of 2021 with the most weeks included in both lists.

To all this must be added that " The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE " reached number 3 on Billboard's Tastemaker Albums chart and managed to reach number 5 on the list of best sales of current albums during the same week.

Their latest title track “LO $ ER = LO ♡ ER” managed to climb to number 12 on the worldwide digital song sales chart.

And as if all this were not enough, TXT reached number 23 on the Billboard Artist 100.

So as we say in our headline, if this breakneck ascent continues, TXT will soon be able to dethrone the popular bands BTS and BLACKPINK as the most accomplished k-pop bands.
