Star Trek arrives on the Paramount+ platform in February along with major releases
One of the most recent news published by Paramount + has to do with the new Star Trek universe, one of the best cult films in the world.
The company confirmed the purchase of the rights to the post-apocalyptic story and mentioned that it will innovate "a new universe" of the saga.
This news has shocked millions of fans of the successful North American franchise, since more than a decade had passed without news about its next installment. The next Paramount+ project is called “Star Trek Prodigy”.
New releases that Paramount+ has prepared for February
Therefore, in this article we are going to talk about the new Star Trek project and the new programming that the platform has prepared for the month of February.
"Star Trek Prodigy"
Star Trek Prodigy is the title of the new series that will be produced by Paramount+, this is the first time that the franchise will be produced by said company and we are possibly going to witness unexpected plot twists.
Directing the series will be Emmy-winning Kevin and Dan Hageman.
The story of the film follows a group of young aliens who will be forced to learn teamwork while searching for a hopeful place to survive and achieve a better future.
These people know absolutely nothing about the spacecraft they are piloting, but throughout their search through the universe they will find the starfleet and its leaders.
The new Star Trek series will be available through Paramount+ starting February 11.
“Star Trek Discovery” season 4
The next chapters of the series " Star Trek Discovery " are here, the fourth season of " Star Trek Discovery " this time will be broadcast exclusively on Paramount +.
The story narrates the events of Captain Burnham together with his crew of the USS Discovery, they will be in a constant fight with the worlds of the federation and also with those who are not part of it.
During one of their encounters they will find themselves against unreachable opponents and they will have to join forces in order to survive.
The premiere of the first episodes of season 4 of " Star Trek Discovery " is scheduled for February 11.
“Prisoners on the Ghostland”
One of the most anticipated thrillers this year is “Prisoners on the Ghostland”, starring Nicolas Cage, Tereza Ruiz and Bill Moseley and directed by Sion Sono.
The plot follows a unique bank robber who spends his days in prison, however, everything in his life changes when a wealthy war veteran pays his bail and asks him to help him rescue his granddaughter.
The man guarantees that if he helps to find the person responsible, he will be freed and will not have to go back to jail, and if he escapes he will die, since the war veteran put a self-destructive suit on the thief.
Then, the thief will begin his journey in search of the person responsible and towards his own path of redemption. The film will be released on February 14, 2022, through the streaming platform.
