The long-awaited drama-romance story is the first Asian Apple TV+ production to be narrated in three languages: Japanese, Korean, and English. 'Pachinko' has been one of the most anticipated series on the platform, inspired by the New York Times novel with the same name, its premiere is already quite close.

A couple of days ago Apple TV + released the first Pachinko trailer that revealed the first scenes that we will be seeing in its next chapters and its main characters.

The series will narrate a story where love and loss, triumph and mishap, war and peace will predominate.

It is important to mention that the novel 'Pachinko' is one of the most successful North American novels written by Min Jin Lee that managed to sell more than 2 million copies.

One of the reasons for the great wait of the subscribers of the platform is because the readers migrated to this new series format.

Synopsis for 'Pachinko'

The series produced and directed by Kogonada and Justin Chon is full of great themes of general importance and values such as love, resilience and respect for family.

'Pachinko' portrays the life of a Korean family who decides to move to the United States in order to experience new cultures and get good jobs to establish their economy. The story is set in 1900, Sunja is in charge of narrating the events of the family.

Sunja talks about all the sacrifices and things they had to do in order to survive and thrive in a new nation and a different culture than the one they had always known. During her search for alternatives she will meet a young man who is near her house.

With the passing of time, both begin to feel a strong attraction and an uncontrollable love that made Sunja fall in love with the stranger.

Both will end up having sexual relations and the protagonist will later realize that she is pregnant, but everything will change when she finds out that her lover is married.

During a family meeting Sunja will meet a minister who was passing through Japan and receives a marriage proposal.

She accepts his proposal, but in exchange she will have to go to the United States and separate from her family and the father of her child, this begins to cause complications in the future.

Apple TV + reveals the trailer for the series

Recently, the directors of the Apple Tv + platform revealed the first official preview of the love story created by Justin Chon and Kogonada.

The trailer stars Lee Min Ho who will be playing Hansu and Youn Yuh Jung who will be playing the character Sunja.

The preview has a duration of approximately 2 minutes, in the first scenes revealing the merchant Hansu in a white suit while exchanging glances with Sunja in what seems to be their first meeting.

Then in the next scene they give a glimpse of Sunja's childhood in her humble home.

While she is at home with her parents, you can see her face of despair after the news of her pregnancy.

The most revealing detail of the trailer is manifested at the moment in which the focus of the protagonist changes and her old version appears telling the story, implying that she will be in two planes.

The premiere of the first 3 episodes of the season is scheduled for February 25, each week the platform will release a new installment until the end of the 8 episodes that season 1 of "Pachinko" will have. The series will be distributed only through AppleTV +.
