Elon Musk is excited about the arrival of a new humanoid robot

Two decades ago, the idea that human-like robots will be mobilized among humanity was only a matter of science fiction movies, and the truth is that the machines we imagined had a slow, robotic voice, and their appearance was far removed from what a real person is.

In fact, our robots were "robotina from The Jetsons, Robocob, and one of the most recent was I, Robot", played by Will Smith, however, all of them were left behind with the arrival of the humanoid android Mesmer from the British company Engineered Arts, and it was celebrated by the world's most millionaire man, Elon Musk.

Through his Twitter account, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX celebrated the creation: "The real androids are here," he wrote in response to a video posted on the social network by the Engineered Arts company, where the human-like automaton is shown.

According to what can be seen in the video, only the robot's head has been created, its body looks like a machine. This is not without surprising the incredible human appearance of the head, as it can express various emotions.

The company details in the audiovisual that it is only a sample of its creation, for which they affirm that the images are not generated by computers, but that they are 100% real.

They also say that the head and neck have 22 customized servo actuators, 5 of them are around the mouth, for this reason, they explain, that total synchronization has not been achieved so that it moves the lips and can speak.

On the company's website, they specify that their Mesmer androids are made with 3D scans of real people, this allows the creations to be convincing when it comes to imitating human expressions, since they have matched the bone structure and texture of the skin.

It is expected that during the first months of the year 2022, this robot will show more capabilities, and continue to surprise the world.

Sophia, the first humanoid robot

On April 19, 2015, the Hong Kong-based company Hanson Robotics launched the first humanoid robot, which they called Sophia that has artificial intelligence, and was inspired by actress Audrey Hepburn.

In addition to this, its creator David Hanson has explained that Sophia can imitate the gestures of human beings, as well as facial expressions; It has also been designed to answer some questions and develop conversations on some topics, such as the weather.

Likewise, the humanoid robot that has been invited to various television programs has the ability to analyze conversations, so that, through the dialogues it holds, it improves its responses, since it is storing more and more information, which allows you to expand your knowledge.

It has been created with technology from Alphabet Inc., Google's parent company, which gives you the opportunity to recognize voices.

The robot was created to mainly accompany the elderly, but also to provide support to people during mass events in parks or large events.

Wants to be a mother

Two years after its creation, Sophia became the first robot to be recognized as a citizen, and her nationality is Saudi Arabia, little by little this android has been adapting to the conditions of an ordinary human being, in fact, recently She expressed her desire to be a mother, although not at the moment because she considers herself very young.

This news has surprised the world, since it is very strange that a machine wants to be a mother, since it is something impossible, at least since human conception, however, it is possible that your idea does not refer to conceiving and giving to light, as she has made it clear that she understands that she is a robot.
