At some point in our lives we have all dreamed of having enough money to not worry about accounts payable and know the world without limits, something that only those who have multimillion dollar accounts do, such as those on the list of the richest in the world.

2020 was a very difficult year for most humanity, because the Covid-19 pandemic kept us locked up, some without jobs, so they were forced to spend their savings, however this did not happen to men from the list, who recorded a record increase in their wealth.

The portal Bloomberg recently published the list of people who amass the greatest wealth in the world, a daily ranking in which they analyze the net worth of these business figures. We begin.

The greatest riches in the world are in these people

1. Elon Musk

As expected, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX tops the list with a fortune that exceeds 326,000 million dollars.

This man, who was urged to invest money to end hunger in the world, in 2021 added 165,000 million dollars to his bank accounts, which is why he has been considered by some media as the richest person who has ever set foot on planet Earth.

In October, his company SpaceX was ranked second on the list of the most valuable private companies in the world. His equity exceeds 100 billion dollars due to some investors selling their shares.

2. Jeff Bezos

The Amazon founder ranks No. 2 with $192 billion. Only $140 billion separates them from Musk, a gap that is quite difficult to bridge.

However, according to analysts this could change at any time, since at the beginning of 2021 it was located in the first position.

In 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, while many of us were searching for new series on digital platforms, and perhaps making some purchases on Amazon, Bezos increased this company's revenue by 38%, reaching at that time 386,000 million Dollars.

Jeff Bezzos' rise in wealth came after Amazon shares rose 4.7% after the US Pentagon announced the cancellation of a cloud computing services contract with Microsoft, this brought his fortune to $8.4 billion.

3. Bernard Arnault

He is the owner of brands such as Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent and Gucci. His wealth reaches 167,000 million dollars.

His fortune in one year went from 76,000 million dollars to 187,000 million (from March 2020 to May 2021) thanks to the work carried out with his luxury brand Louis Vuitton during the pandemic.

In May, Louis Vuitton shares rose 0.4%, and during the first hours of negotiations its market capital stood at $320 billion, increasing Bernard Arnault's personal stake by more than $600 million.

4. Bill Gates

The owner of Microsoft ranks fourth with $139 billion.

In this last year, the technology entrepreneur for the first time in 30 years is not in the top two positions on the list of the most millionaire men on the planet due to two main causes: the stock market and that part of his wealth (5,700 million in publicly traded stocks), was handed over to his ex-wife Melinda French after their separation.

If the latter had not happened, the man today would be the most economically valued in the world.

Much of Gates' money comes from Microsoft (a company valued at about $31 billion), where its stake is 1.3%. Another part is obtained from Cascade Investment LLC, their investment firm, and other assets, such as their property in Medina, Washington valued at $143 billion.

Through Cascade, Bill Gates has interests in the Four Seasons hotel chain, the auto dealership AutoNation, the waste management company Republic Services, Deere & Co., a company that manufactures tractors and the Canadian National Railway company dedicated to the bouquet of trains.

5. Larry Page

At $132 billion, the co-founder of Google ranks fifth. In early 2021, Page's net worth reached $91.5 million, a figure that was recently increased, according to Bloomberg.

His wealth comes primarily from his best bet and invention, the world's number one search engine: Google. Just the fact of having created this company, made him one of the millionaire men on the planet.

Together with his partner Sergey Brin, in 2006 he invested 40 million dollars in Tesla, Elon Musk's company.

6. Mark Zuckerberg

The founder of Facebook exceeds $129 billion. Analysts have explained that his wealth was boosted this year, thanks to the dividends generated by Facebook, and the rebound in the price when he launched the Reels function of the Instagram APP, which allows him to compete directly with the famous TikTok.

Zuckerberg's net worth comes primarily from his share of Facebook, which is 13%.

This man has indicated that he plans to give away 99% of his shares of the social network Facebook throughout his life.

At the beginning of October, Mark Zuckerberg saw his fortune reduced by $5.9 billion, after a bad session on Wall Street, which was affected by alleged unethical practices, in addition to the worldwide fall of social network services.

Business experts calculated at the time of Facebook's crash that Zuckerberg would have lost $6 billion, and his personal fortune dropped to $121 billion.
