Spiderweb Software is working on Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor
Following a successful Kickstarter campaign, Spiderweb Software Inc. is working to release a sequel to its 80s retro-style empire-building series: Queen's Wish.
In this new edition, Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor will be the second part of the trilogy set in the fantasy empire of Haven. Players take on the role of the youngest son of Queen Shayrn, who must find his way through all the chaos and build a massive empire.
What is this game about?
This is a quite interesting strategy game, which you can surely love. It is played in turns and as the protagonist you will have the mission of expanding the empire.
You will find yourself in a wild land, in which you will have to face a large number of challenges to fulfill your mission. Some towns can be more friendly than others, so you will have to make the appropriate decisions depending on the case.
This game stands out mainly for having retro-style graphics with simple mechanics, but easy to understand for any player. In addition, in this installment, the company has promised a story that can reach 50 hours of play.
What is the premise of Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor?
Well, unfortunate circumstances made the queen seriously ill and now her youngest son must travel to the wild land called Rokaj, which is plagued by poverty and brutality.
A rebellion seems inevitable considering the growing tensions between the masters and the savage denizens of the wilderness. The protagonist's task is going to be to put an end to the power struggle that exists on this earth to have control of everything.
Queen's Wish 2: The Tormentor will allow players to explore a huge nation full of cities, fortresses and dungeons where they will have to face social problems such as betrayal, bribery, diplomacy, violence and much more.
Battles will be turn-based and players will have to think, act and fight smart as this is the only viable path to success. Also, the empire can be expanded by building new fortresses and upgrading existing ones with powerful bonuses.
Because you are the son of the queen, you will be able to make the decisions regarding each of the towns. You can decide if they will serve your empire or if you prefer to free them.
When will Queen's Wish 2 be available?
The launch is scheduled for the second half of the year, although the company has not yet given an exact launch date. This is going to be available for Windows and Mac.
This is already shown in the Steam catalog and in a few months it will be possible to buy it to start playing. Fans of the saga are anxious for this new installment to arrive. So much so that in the funding round, the company raised $30,000 in a single day.
