Cold snacks for Christmas
A different way of spending time with the family and waiting until lunchtime at Christmas is with the presentation of appetizers. Cold appetizers for Christmas can go a long way to pass the moment.
Especially if there is some type of liquor, or if they usually eat at 12 at night. There are different types of appetizers that can be prepared according to your tastes and budget.
Cold appetizers for Christmas can be prepared in advance and will give you plenty of time to get ready for the arrival of your friends and family. With this time you will also have the opportunity to prepare the main meal of the night.
Preliminary considerations
When assembling the canapés you must keep in mind the ingredients to use. There are some that allow its complete assembly in advance.
While others, in the cases of bringing a little bread, if they are prepared in advance, the crunchiness of the bread will be lost, since it will absorb the humidity from the refrigerator or from the ingredients.
In these cases, it is good to have the ingredients ready to assemble immediately and save as much time as possible.
Regarding the sauces, if I recommend you do them in advance. Sauces are usually integrated over time so if you can prepare them a day in advance it is better.
Easy Gun Canapés
These canapés have sliced bread, cheese, tomato, salami, cucumber and olive. The olive can be black or green. If you don't like salami, you can change for salami.
With all the ingredients ready, place the bread, then the tomato, the salami, the cucumber, the cheese, and the olive. With a toothpick, gather all the ingredients in that order and assemble all your skewers.
Another way to make canapés is profiteroles. In this case it is necessary to mix the cream cheese with the smoked salmon and fill the profiteroles with a pastry bag.
Potatoes and smoked cod with caviar
Another of the cold appetizers for Christmas that I bring you are these potatoes and smoked cod with caviar. For this appetizer you will need Cherry tomato, potatoes, cod, black caviar, salt, butter, pepper and walnuts.
Wash the potatoes well and cut in half, without having peeled them. Place a little butter in a pan and place the potatoes.
Let cook for a few minutes, so that they are tender but firm. When ready, sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Place the base potatoes, on top of them a tomato slice, add salt, a piece of walnut, some cod and a little caviar on top.
One way to serve can be on a bread or cookie, you can even think of serving in a dessert spoon so that each spoonful is a bite.
Remember to be careful with the amount of caviar you add, so as not to leave these appetizers too spicy.
Cucumber Christmas trees
A very characteristic detail of Christmas are these cucumber Christmas trees. This time what you will need is cucumber and carrots.
Make a star with a small carrot cutter. Then, take out the cucumber slices and prepare the volcanoes.
With the help of a toothpick, place the star, then the folded cucumber in the shape of a tree and finally place a piece of carrot so that it does not come off the toothpick. And that's it!
Don't forget to add a little salt and pepper. This is a cold dessert that, since it does not have other sauces, there is little chance that the crunchiness of the ingredients will be lost.
Fun moments
Now with all these options you can easily surprise everyone and have fun in the process. If you make the proper preparations in advance as well as the sauces, you can easily have enough time to get everything ready.
Also, if you include your family, they will be done faster and these moments will always be remembered. Especially in these times when the idea is to share all together.
And thus create joyful moments and memories for all members of the family. Plus, it's a pretty cute way to incorporate them into your preparations.
