For those who are superstitious, today is undoubtedly a day that they do not love. For some people who believe in this, it is preferable not to leave the house. Friday the 13th of any month is considered bad luck, however this was not always the case. With the hashtag # Friday13, users on Twitter have already made this day viral.
History of Friday the 13th
It is said that the story goes back to the year 1307 precisely on Friday, October 13, when King Philip IV of France sent to capture the order of the Templars. It is here where the curse that later was transformed begins.
The order of the Knights of the Temple was accused of crimes such as sodomy, heresy, paganism, among others of that type. The order was forced to confess crimes they had not committed, after which they were tortured and sentenced to life imprisonment.
The order of the knights of the temple was also condemned to the stake adding almost 14,000 of men eliminated.
However, the curse arises when Jacques Molay was going to be executed, it is said that before dying Jacques Molay cursed King Philip IV of France and Pope Clement V with death, fulfilling this in less than a year.
Later the story was transformed until what is currently known and associated with the famous movie that bears the same name "Friday the 13th". It is said that today is bad luck and many superstitious people even elaborate rituals to counteract this bad luck. Others use this day as a game like many users, hinting that every day they have bad luck and therefore today is simply one more day.
