227 children were sacrificed in Peru to calm nature

An incredible historical find has been revealed in recent weeks in Peru. The Chimú culture sacrificed 227 children so that nature would calm down, in addition, they were positioned looking at the sea as a symbol of respect for the gods of that culture.

The excavations are carried out in Pampa La Cruz in the north of the country, where it was declared that it is the largest find in the history of this culture that involves children. The director of the excavation program Feren Castillo, assured that this sacrifice was made to honor the gods.

Most of the bodies were found with cuts to the thorax, then positioned facing the sea. However, this is not the only sacrifice that exists in this culture, since there are records that during its existence there were four sacrifices that involved many people, in general, with the idea of calming the climatic season, which is known today as the phenomenon of the child.

In 2018, a place had been found where 140 children were euthanized, but 260 llamas were also euthanized.

Regarding the cuts in the thorax, the Chimú culture believed that the heart was the organ that represented all life. Then, they made a cut at chest height, the heart was withdrawn, and the body was stretched out facing a specific point. Depending on the point, he was considered the god they wished to honor.

The research seeks to establish most of the places where these cultures left their bodies and to gather more information about their ancestral practices. Of course, the international community is surprised by the finding, due to the impact of only children being sacrificed for their rituals.

Something that historians assure that the Chimú culture did not obtain results with adults, so they decided to sacrifice the most precious thing for them, which were children.
