Americans must show a certificate of vaccination against Covib-19 for entry to Spain
After a change in its policy, Spain is now only allowing the entry of American tourists, if they are fully vaccinated.
The United States leaves the list of safe countries of the European Union
Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the change came after the European Union eliminated the United States from a list of approximately 20 countries, not belonging to the blockade, that are exempt from the non-essential travel rule.
Spain, a member of the EU, resorted to the same affirmed change, which was, for essential Public Health reasons due to COVID-19.

The new rule for American travelers
The United States embassy in Spain, tweeted about the new measure, saying that travelers from the United States are only allowed to enter Spain, if they are vaccinated and if they carry a valid vaccination certificate, as well as a QR code, provided by the Government of Spain.
Spain has other exemptions for US citizens, active diplomats or other people residing in Spain, they can enter the country just by showing a PCR test or negative antigens or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 19.
