AMLO wants to disappear CONEVAL
The President of the United Mexican States Andrés Manuel López Obrador declared this July 25 that he does not rule out the possibility of disappearing the National Council for the Evaluation of Social Development Policy CONEVAL, transferring its responsibilities to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).
This morning, when he was asked if he was thinking of disappearing said organism (CONEVAL) so that some area of INEGI could make the measurements, he answered yes.
The president does not rule out the possibility, since he considers that in past administrations too many organizations were created that are unnecessary and do not have any benefit.
In addition, he was asked about the budget for this body to which he replied:
"That the 600 million go to fight poverty, instead of creating the apparatus to measure whether there is poverty or not, and This can continue to be done with the INEGI, and the INEGI already does work, it already measures what has to do with economic growth, and it also measures poverty, so these are things that have to be adjusted, it is part of the transformation, of austerity Republican".
We do not know what will happen to the future of Mexico, however it is expected to improve for the good of the country and the president is making the best decisions.
