After passing through the Bahamas, Dorian has left a balance of 20 people dead and at least 70 thousand victims in one of the worst blows of nature to the island. The hurricane caused damage throughout the region and a flood that still continues on the island.

The hardest hit islands are Grand Bahama and Abaco Islands, which suffered the most damage from the hurricane. For now, the region is asking for clean water and food as they rebuild everything they have lost.

The images obtained by the international press reveal a completely destroyed Bahamas. The UN will send aid for a total of 1.5 million dollars in food and essential supplies. While they sent men and women to support the search and rescue of the population.

The International Red Cross (ICRC) carried out a survey that warns of 13,000 houses totally destroyed, while some 30,000 houses suffered heavy damage. Now, despite the fact that the hurricane is in category 2, it has not managed to advance at high speeds, which does not allow the water to evaporate or evacuate from some areas.

For now, the Bahamas is asking for international help from what the United States lists as a "totally destructive hurricane". The island that lives mainly on tourism, will be affected and will take time to recover.
