New Instagram Features: Subscription for Content Creators – Social Media
The director of the social network announced new features for Instagram.

Today, among the thousands of ways to earn money online, content creators are the most sought after. And it is that, it is mainly due to the large number of people they reach with their daily posts and stories.

To do this, they use different social platforms that, among the most used, we have Instagram for all the functionalities it offers them.

On this occasion, they are testing a new feature that will allow content creators to generate much more income. Learn more below.

Instagram: important update for influencers

Recently, the director of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, through his Twitter profile, announced updates that will come soon for the multimedia content platform.

His motivation for the upcoming new features of the social network is based on the ability of content creators to generate income. Indeed, there are many people who only live off the money they make through their Instagram profiles.

Therefore, the director's intention is to provide all possible facilities that allow influencers to continue growing within the platform.

New subscription method for exclusive content

So far, a new subscription system is being tested, but only in the US region.

It basically works like the Patreon app, or even compare it to the popular OnlyFans platform.

In a nutshell, content creators will be able to offer exclusive content only to those people who subscribe for a certain amount. In this way, they will be able to generate more income than they currently produce.

Instagram's subscriptions are in the testing phase.

Going into detail, for the content that they upload in stories, it will be practically an additional section of “Best friends”. But, with the difference that in this case, the set of users who have paid for the subscription will be chosen.

For live broadcasts, they can enjoy the same facility. That is, select those people who chose to pay for exclusive content.

Additionally, for the ease of the content creator, you will be able to identify those users who have subscribed. How? Thanks to a distinctive purple color, so that they can be differentiated from the rest of the profiles.

The operation could be something similar to what its sister platforms have, such as Facebook. In this sense, it is most likely that this function could only be activated by those users who exceed a minimum number of followers.

Likewise, the prices will be established by themselves, based on the quality of what they offer.

Reminders for live videos

Many times it has happened to us that when one of our favorite influencers is broadcasting live, we find ourselves busy or caught off guard.

To do this, one of the new features promises a banner in the user's profile that will work as a reminder of the broadcast. That way, followers can stay tuned for upcoming virtual events that will take place.

Live Instagram videos will be able to be scheduled.

This new function seeks, once again, to help content creators have greater facilities to increase their user reach.

Everything, with the ultimate goal that the results will be a higher volume of income, thanks to the new functions of Instagram.

When will these features be available?

For now, subscriptions on Instagram are in a testing phase, available only for the United States. Also, it was only enabled for a select group of content creators.

However, the director of Instagram anticipates that the function can continue to scale to availability in other countries in the coming months. But, only for those influencers who meet the basic requirements.

Although it may take a long time for an approximate date, there is no doubt that it will be a feature that will greatly help content creators.
