Gogoro's battery sharing system could be the future in mobilization.

In the Asian region, an electric scooter has set a trend after its use will increase greatly due to its great versatility. However, it does not stand out for the fact that it is rechargeable, but the way it does it.

In other words, they would have the concept of a gas station, with the difference that they will allow cartridges to be loaded or replaced with already loaded ones.

What do we see in Taiwan thanks to Gogoro?

The difference is that in the Asian country we are talking about a company as such, and not a government initiative. In this case, Gogoro is a manufacturer that goes beyond electric motorcycles and scooters, where they also focus on the production of batteries.

One of the peculiarities is that these batteries have intelligent features such as the ability to be rechargeable and interchangeable.

Therefore, Gogoro becomes both the manufacturer of its scooters and the batteries that are needed for their use. They are also going in depth by developing an entire battery distribution and exchange network throughout the region.

Said terminal or station is characterized by having slots that have the exact size of the batteries they manufacture.

Thus, in this way, users who are part of its extensive community of scooters, will be able to place their batteries to charge them. Or, failing that, exchange them for others already loaded to continue with your route.

This would be the battery exchange process.

To do this, they will only have to subscribe to the battery exchange service that Gogoro has in order to identify their users. Everything, through an application that can be entered with a Smartphone.

The growth and future of Gogoro

It was possible to know through the application that the company has reached more than 400,000 registered users on its platform. Said figure, only since December 14, which was its launch in the country.

Since then, Gogoro has developed just over 2,100 charging and replacement stations, which are capable of approximately 2,700 exchanges.

Since its implementation in the daily mobilization of the Asian, there have been at least 2,000,000 battery changes.

Due to such expansion, it is not surprising that countries such as China and India, which have a large population, seek to implement their system. That is why they announced their recent alliance with Hero Motorcorp, this company being the main manufacturer of motorcycles worldwide.

Also, its association with Yadea and DCJ, have allowed the creation of a new company that will have the three manufacturers as developers: Huan Huan.

Foxconn has also been a part of Gogoro's growth, helping them in the development of batteries and electric scooters.
