1. Tower of Belém
It is a tower that was built between 1515 and 1519; as part of the works of Francisco de Arruda. It was declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity, by Unesco in 1983.
This tower is located at the mouth of the Tagus, and was part of the defense of the city for a long time.
Later it was considered as a customs center, and a beacon.
The Belém tower is designed based on 16 windows, with defensive cannons and a five-story tower that concludes with a terrace.
The tower communicates through a small spiral staircase, and is connected through the Governor's Room, the Audience Room, and the Kings Room.
2. Rua de Augusta Arch Viewpoint
The Arch of Rua Augusta is a monumental heritage that gives access to the Plaza del Comercio.
Through this arch there is a panoramic view of the city, which makes it one of the newest attractions in Lisbon.
The history of this Arch began in 1755; with the devastating earthquake that destroyed the buildings, and which later became a symbol of the rebuilding of the city.
The first version of the arch was not demolished, based on it this work was built, which culminated in the 19th century.
Inside the Mirador, there is the Sala do Relógico, where you will find an exhibition of the construction of the arch since its inception.
The best of the viewpoint are its panoramic views, these overlook the Plaza del Comercio, the Tagus, and the shops and terraces that are seen in miniature.
3. Commerce square in Lisbon
The commercial square is made up of several porticoed buildings, which are located in front of the Tagus. This was a special place for the arrival of merchant ships, and the Lisbon gate square.

4. Alfama neighborhood

5. Sé Cathedral
Known as the Cathedral of Santa María la Mayor; this is his full name. It is considered as a Roman temple with a very Visigothic style, which later became a mosque.
The construction of this temple began by the Muslims in the 12th century; and although it is a religious building of Romanesque design, its cloister is Gothic.
Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in all of Lisbon; that despite being succumbed by the earthquake of 1755; achieved its reconstruction.
Regarding the design, it is a church with a Latin cross plan in three naves, and with an apse that counts as a main chapel.
6. Mirador de Santa Lucía
It is near the church that bears the same name, and is one of the most famous viewpoints in Lisbon.
It is one of the most welcoming, and despite being one of the highest, it can be considered as one with the best views of the city.
The viewpoint is designed based on three structures, including pergolas, seats and beautiful gardens, from where you can see the castle of San Jorge.
7. Chiado and Barrio Alto
Unlike other neighborhoods, El Chiado is an elegant bohemian-style neighborhood, better known as the “Montmarte” of the city.
This neighborhood was rebuilt after the fire of 1988, with the ruins of the churches of the same name.
Another alternative is the Barrio Alto, which represents the culture of the city. Among its alleys there is a great variety of graffiti on the facades of the houses.
8. Lisbon Zoo
