A new setback arises for The Mandalorian and its production
Bad news comes from the farthest reaches of the galaxy to perhaps increase the wait for the third season of the highly acclaimed The Mandalorian.
In 2021, we miss the Din Djarin and Grogu couple. These who is in charge of conquering our hearts in a Star Wars adventure through the Disney + platform.
That is why the wait for the premiere of the third season has become eternal. Although we've been entertained with The Boba Fett Book, it hasn't been enough to fill the void in our hearts.
What happened to the filming of The Mandalorian, season 3?
Through Besbin Bulletin sources, it was revealed that the filming of the favorite Mandalorian of Star Wars fans was stopped. However, the good within the bad is that for now the date of the month of December as the premiere remains planned.
However, an official announcement from the production is still awaited whether the date can be postponed to the new year 2023.
The latter would be a bucket of cold water for the expectations of the fans, who would have to spend another year without their favorite bounty hunter.
Omicron the main cause
From the beginning, filming was supposed to resume in the second week of January, after the holidays. The reason would be the large wave of positive cases of the new Omicron variant that have been reported in the United States in recent times.
And although there were no positive cases within the production, the intention of the producers and the cast is to be totally cautious. This is because Omicron is a variant that has been reported to be much more contagious, although much milder.
In short, it is nothing more than a preventive measure that was taken during the filming to avoid a wave of contagion on the set. For the same reason, it would mean a much larger delay if there is a wave of positives in the filming of The Mandalorian, season 3.
There is no official information yet regarding when the cast can return to shoot the scenes. But, it is expected that, before the end of January, they should be back at work. All with an eye toward bringing Season 3 to Disney+ screens in December.
