Mario Kart 9 could be closer than ever to its launch
At the beginning of 2022, Mario Kart seems to be more alive than it was in his successful days. Specifically, according to rumors, everything seems to indicate that part 9 of the famous video game could arrive this year, since it is in development.
Due to the thunderous success of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, it is unthinkable that Nintendo would not choose to repeat the formula. This time, with a new installment of the famous animated character racing video game saga.
According to a popular analyst in the video game industry, Dr. Serkan Toto, MK9 is in development. That means we could have Mario and his racing buddies back in a new edition this year.
Why does Nintendo bring us a new Mario Kart saga?
Just by reading the name of Mario Kart, we are transported to times when we only had in mind to spend hours and hours in front of the console. It is a feeling of nostalgia that has lasted over time through the new sagas that Nintendo has developed of the famous karting game.
However, beyond the sentiment of the delivery, Nintendo has a lot of merit in its development.
In this sense, a great vision is needed so that, over time, MK continues to be a current video game.
Just look at the success in sales of its predecessor, MK8 Deluxe, with its more than 3 million units sold. All, in a period that comprised between April and September 2021.

It means that we have to wait what will be the differential touch in this new installment of Mario Kart, which has also been mentioned that it will come with a "new twist".
What do we know about the new Mario Kart 9? Would come this year
A specialist in the subject of video games, Dr. Serkan Toto, was in charge of giving the premise that it could come out this year. Specifically, he said:
"I am aware that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still selling very well on the Nintendo Switch, but Mario Kart 9 is in active development and Nintendo could make fun of it this year."
On the other hand, it also confirmed the arrival of a classic video game from the Nintendo company on mobile device platforms.
Unfortunately, this is, for now, the only data that is known regarding the new installment. However, it is expected to be a title loaded with new options and game modes due to the extended wait for this edition 9.
And it is that MK 8 came to light in 2014, having already almost 8 years from the date. Although it is true that Nintendo had a lot of activity between the course, a new installment was already needed, beyond the success of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
