Vegan Flamenquines with Salami and Cheese
To really surprise someone who has never tried a vegan recipe, you can make vegan Flamenquines, and you will show off.
It is a recipe for punctual consumption, but incredible. It is a delicious bread stuffed with cheese with vegetable salami. As easy as delicious is this recipe that I share with you. It will only take you about 30 minutes to prepare and 5 minutes for each batch of stir-fry.
Obviously, you can vary the filling, the vegan cheese provides an incomparable creaminess, which is why it is essential. You can also use very thin strips of homemade seitan.
Ingredients
Bread.
Vegetalia vegetable salami.
Violife vegan mozzarella style cheese.
2 tablespoons chickpea flour.
Wheat flour.
Breadcrumbs with garlic and parsley.
1/2 cup of water.
Sunflower oil.
Preparation
The slices of sliced bread must be placed on a flat surface. Stretch the slices of bread with a rolling pin until they are flat, very thin.
Now, we place a slice of vegetable cheese and vegan salami on top.
Then we roll up pressing the bread well, until we form a tube.
To make them firmer, you can use your hands to squeeze the rolls. We continue this process until we finish with the prepared slices. Reserve on a plate.
In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of chickpea flour and 1/2 cup of water. Using a fork, beat until smooth and lump-free.
This mixture will allow us to coat the rolls.
Then place the flour in a bowl and in another bowl with the breadcrumbs.
Now, one by one, we submerge the rolls in the chickpea mixture, then in wheat flour, trying to make sure they are completely covered.
Next, we submerge the rolls in the chickpea mixture again and, finally, coat them in breadcrumbs. A firm batter without the need to use egg will be obtained in this way.
Heat a small frying pan with a finger of sunflower oil.
When it is hot, reduce the temperature to medium-low and begin to fry the flamenquines until they are well browned.
On a sheet of kitchen paper, preferably let them rest to remove excess oil. And we will have the rolls ready!
